Water, magnetic or air: which YOSUDA rowing machine?

Every rower works the same big muscle groups. What changes is the sound, the feel of the catch and how the machine fits your room. Here is how our three families compare.

Water, magnetic or air: which YOSUDA rowing machine?

Magnetic: the quiet one

Magnets give set levels you dial in, with almost no noise. Choose the beginner rower for 2.9 sq ft, the H-185 for a 50.2-inch rail, the PRO H-187 for 400 lb, or the wooden RM11 for 32 levels and self-powered tracking.

Water: the one you hear

Water resistance grows the harder you pull and sounds like the real thing. Our beech rowers fold upright, and the RW-207 keeps an aluminum frame slim at 13 inches wide.

Air: the one for splits

The R2 rower uses ten airflow levels and a self-powered monitor with 500m split and watts. It is louder, and it splits in two for upright storage.

Rail length and height

Tall rowers should check the rail: the R2 fits up to 6'10", the RM11 up to 6'7", the Classic water rower up to 6'6" and the H-185 up to 6'3". Our beginner rower suits 4'5" to 5'11".
